I was ordained July 10, 1987, when General Superintendent, Dr. Earle Wilson, laid hands on me, shook my hand, and declared, "Take Thou Authority to Preach the Word!" I was thinking about that recently, and began to wonder how far back I could go with the succession of my ordination. So, I did a little research. I was ordained by Earle Wilson Earle Wilson was ordained by Pilgrim Holiness General Superintendent, William Neff William Neff was ordained by the Pilgrim founder, Seth Rees Seth Rees was ordained by Nazarene founder, Phineas Bresee Phineas Bresee was ordained by Methodist Bishop, Levi Scott Levi Scott was ordained by Elijah Hedding. Elijah Hedding was ordained by Francis Asbury Francis Asbury was ordained by a renegade Anglican priest named John Wesley John Wesley was ordained by Anglican Bishop (of Oxford) John Potter. 100,000 visits!!! WOW.
ReplyDeleteNow, not to burst that bubble or anything, but do you actually only count the FIRST visit, or is that a "hit" counter? I mean - - - I come multiple times a day you know!!! :-)
So, YOU'RE the one who came 100,000 times!! Actually, there's some truth to what you're saying. You'll be counted as a unique visitor if you come back after six hours.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing -- my favorite site meter is statcounter.com
ReplyDeleteIt lists the page views, the number of visitors, and how many of them are "returning visitors"
For instance, last Wednesday, I had 298 different visitors -- 82 of them were "returning"
And we ordered in some pizzas!

congrats mark...not only is your milestone impressive but your service of connecting many of us together is appreciated...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mark! Thanks for the ministry that you provide to the church. Your writing has been a great encouragement to me. Hopefully, we will be able to meet this year at a FLAME event. I am heading to Frankfort in April and I will probably be at one of the FLAME's in SC. Blessings on you my friend
ReplyDeleteHope your site stays as your church. There is a place for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that there are so many RETURNING visitors is what's really impressive! That speaks volumes. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteMark,
ReplyDeleteThank you for not making any visitor feel unwelcome to your site, even when they disagree with you. That is the reason they return, again and again.
