Misery Synod

Hearts wrapped in sandpaper --
Course grain, of course
To mete harsh measure
Upon the miscreats
Who do not measure up.

And they are called "Misery Synod."

"Misery Synod Lutherans"
"Misery Synod Baptists"
"Misery Synod Wesleyans"

O Lord, from the "Misery Synod", please deliver us.

    Years ago, I walked away from the place you mention. A tender, open heart with a deep desire to live in the fullness of God...not stuck there as a "poor, miserable sinner". I walked away, and was never called back, except to respond to their decision to excommunicate me! A harsh measure for the miscreat who did not measure up! Better that my heart is wrapped in ribbons of light from God's word.
