Mr. Wilson goes to Brooklyn!
I just returned this evening from a wonderful week in New York City, with the beautiful brothers and sisters of Pilgrim Wesleyan Church. Rev. Pierre Ferdinand, their pastor, is an amazing man! He is almost 75 years old, and has pastored this congregation for about 35 years.
On Sunday there were over 400 people present -- and they are ALIVE!
The most amazing thing is that Rev. Ferdinand grew this thriving congregation from scratch -- and has never received a salary from the church.
Have you ever heard of a bi-vocational pastor leading a church to several hundred?
On top of that -- they have "mothered" at least seven other congregations -- and some of those have multiplied as well!
I think that beats Joel Osteen!
