If This Is Not A Place. . .
If this is not a place where tears are understood, Then where shall I go to cry? And if this is not a place where my spirit can take wings, Then where shall I go to fly? I don't need another place for trying to impress you With just how good and virtuous I am. I don't need another place for always being on top of things; Everybody knows that it's a sham. I don't need another place for always wearing smiles, Even when it's not the way I feel. I don't need another place to mouth the same old platitudes; Everybody knows that it's not real. So if this is not a place where my questions can be asked, Then where shall I go to seek? And if this is not a place where my heart cry can be heard, Where, tell me where, shall I go to speak? So if this is not a place where tears are understood, Where shall I go, where shall I go to fly? -- Ken Medema

Reading a wonderful book to cure this alignment of North America. Captured by Grace - Dr. David Jeremiah. All week God is getting my attention everywhere i go and i mean everywhere. I have never had a time with Him where the same message has come through so many sources. The message is "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thess.5:18. William Law wrties centuries ago. "Would you know who is the greatest saint in the world? It is not he who prays most, it is not he who fasts the most, it is not he who gives alms the most...but it is he who is always thankful to God...who receives everything as an instance of God's goodness andhas a heart always ready to praise God for it." Dr. Lee Salk's mother always taught him to give thanks in even in hardship for in it develop a capacity to appreciate the beauty that exists in the simplest elements of life. The attitude that she so fiercely conveyed tous was this: When it gets dark enough, you can see the star. WOW!
ReplyDeleteThe web site "The Complaint Station" has logged over 5 million complainers, and there are even Christian complaint sites. OUCH! May we ever have God on our minds and practise what the heavenly hosts do every moment of their lives. "And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned." Rev. 11:16-17. May praise always be on our lips.
