Miracle!

Cathy did really well through the procedure yesterday, and was able to come home in the evening.

Dr. Bernardino was surprised. Shortly before the operation, he told us what he expected to happen -- and it wasn't encouraging. He said she would almost certainly be hospitalized -- and that often, people in her situation, have to come back for a couple more sugeries before the issue is resolved.

Then, when he went in, he couldn't find the pancreas stone! There was no blockage, no narrowing, no need for cutting of any kind. He was baffled.

"As far as I can see, your pancreas is back to normal," he declared, "I sure can't figure out what happened to those stones!"

Hmmmm -- how about an answer to prayer?

That is AWESOME news. You both have been in our prayers here in Plymouth. I am now more then ever convinced that the power of prayer is more powerful then even most christians realize. We serve a gracious and faithful God.

I in no way want to be arrogant, but I knew in my spirit that all would be well. It was an overwhelming sense of peace and comfort that I received while praying for you both. I learned so much while in NC-more than school stuff. I learned how to be quiet before God. It is amazing how much God wants to say and how much we can hear if we just shut up. Thank you Mark for not only your teaching but your discipleship. Yes, i said discipleship. You did that for me.
I have carried that principle of quietness home with me. I have learned to be intentional about being still (more than before). God is so big and vast. We can't even begin to comprehend it all. But in allowing ourselves to be removed from all that fills our lives God can fill it with His glory.
I am going to post today (www.saviorstretching.blogspot.com) about the mystery of God in our life. I hope you will check it out someday. My prayers will continue to be for you and your family and ministry.

Hey Mark. That is yet another awesome example of God's power! As humans sometime I think we try too hard to out-of-the box thinkers and in doing so we jump out of the box and we try to stuff God into it. Sometimes with this we of think we begin to think that God is in the box and we are the expanse outside of the box. In reality it is the other way around. As humans we are in the box and God is the expanse. God can do anything He choses to do,but sometimes he wants us to ask for it first so we realize that we are in the box depending on Him, not the other way around. I am so happy for you and you wife.
Man, I was in North Carolina last week at FLAME. I wasn't in your class, but even still I have been forever effected by your class. I am now spending more time being quiet in front of God and He has already sent a few people in my path who have been deeply touched by the stories from last week. God is putting His chess piece in place for something awesome and I am so excited and honored to be alive right now to experience it!
Thanks man for being faithful to God and in doing so, efefecting so many people.

MY GOD, MY GOD, MY GOD, He is a good God.

I had to put my laptop down so I could do a little jumping and shouting.

That my friends is what being a child of God is all about. Not enduring till the end and being saved. But walking in the blessing of a caring and loving God that enjoys stomping on the devils plans.

congratulations Mark the only news better than that is when one starving man tells another starving man where to find bread.

    Thanks for sharing

  9. Our God is awesome. This is great news. Pam and I just got home from church this evening and I said, "I have to check on how Cathy made out." I was pleasantly surprized. I know you and your family are rejoicing. God bless!
