She's Eating!

Yippee!! Cathy was able to eat lightly last night -- and then, again this morning.

Apple sauce and rice never seemed so good before. Thanks for your prayers. They're working!

It's "iffy" whether she'll make it to church tomorrow -- but hey, it's deer hunting opener weekend, so it's "iffy" whether half the congregation will show up.

    LOL LOL LOL about the 'iffy half' of your congregation remark - - - - but I bet only those of us who have ever lived, or still do living in hunting territory will truly understand it!!!!

    I tell you what - - - - - I've heard your sermons and I think they are worth missing some hunting to hear!!!! :-)

    So glad to hear the eating report about Cathy.

    I don't think she should even try to go out tomorrow - - - - - - you can give her the private sermon at home.

    Hunting season is in full swing here as well. We had a men's breakfast and three of our regulars were hunting. I don't know how that will affect tommorrow's service. Most go hunting locally.

    It's great to here of Cathy's progress. Your family is still in our prayers.

    Hey Mark it is great to hear that your wife is eating, my family and I were praying for her tonight. My 4 and 5 year old lifted you up by name. May God continue to stregthen her, it would be great to have some turkey on thurday! I just got done telling my wife about your wife sitting next to the woman sewing in church, it sounds to me that she has the heart of Christ, thank you for letting us into your world. My Updated Ordination Succession

 I made an error when I listed my ordination succession a few weeks ago.  I was ordained by Earle Wilson and he was ordained by William Neff. I had thought that Neff was ordained by early Pilgrim leader, Seth Rees, but upon further investigation, he was actually ordained by Winfred Cox.  Thus, my ordination line takes a fortunate turn. It was a struggle reconciling Rees anyway.  I had taken a leap saying that he was ordained by the Nazarenes -- when, in fact, he was originally "recorded" (not ordained) by the Quakers, and the Nazarenes claim they never ordained him.  I find that hard to believe -- especially when, according to historian, Kostlevy, he participated in ordinations for the Metropolitan Church Association, a forerunner of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.
