A Good Business Decision?
Recently, a pastor friend, with a heavy heart, related the following experience at his church:
"The trustees made a good business decision that devastated the church spiritually. It has taken twenty five years for the church to recover from it."

Moses made a good decision but because of the Church's whining and belly aching it took them over 40 years to see the promise land.
ReplyDeleteWas it a good decision that the wrong people made, or a bad decision that the right people made? Churches often get caught up in 'who made the suggestion/decision' NOT 'what will benefit the people.
ReplyDeleteWow, this post really resonates with me right now. My board and I made a decision in our last board meeting to venture into a new business that would really bless the ministry. That next Wednesday I called my board members into my office and told them that I didn't think the decision we made was the best for the church (people).
ReplyDeleteI just couldn't get a peace about it and they were all very cooperative and we decided right then and there we would not pursue it any further. I firmly believe if we would have gone with our decision, the church would suffer spiritually. Thank God he stopped us!
