Innocent Man

I finished John Grisham's latest bestseller, The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town, last night.
It was about four notches below all his other writings.
Made me wonder if maybe his cousin wrote it, and tried to frame him.
Grisham's innocent, I tell ya!! He's innocent!!

Although the book moved too slowly and included too many details for a good story -- it still was intriguing.
A couple of good links that give a synopsis are here and here.

I may have written this book, but I am not John's cousin.

    Pastor Bob,

Have you read any of this author's books? While he is not one of my favorites, I do appreciate some of his works.

    BOB, BOB, BOB
Hey buddy lighten up a little bit
before I think your hallo is on too tight.

With all the problems that pastors have these days, I think that reading a book would be way, way down on the list of things to worry about.

We have pastors, with big heads and a bad heart, running around on their wife, having affairs, embezzling money, and coming out of the closet with the fact that they are gay.

I think that Mark knows whether what he is reading is worldy trash or not and will give it the consideration that it deserves. I am sure that it will not change his
walk with Christ or the desire he has to help others.

Reading this book may make him a more rounded person, able to converse with others on topics that interest them.

When we listen to them, they open their hearts to us and we then have a chance to talk to them and make them better people with Christ's love.

Good point Barbara -- the difference between this one and Grisham's other works is this one is TRUE! A true story doesn't have all the crafted plots and sub-plots which weave together in a perfect blend, and come together in a perfect end. Fiction is like that -- but not true stories.

Although not nearly as gripping as his novels, this could very well be the most important book Grisham has ever written.
