If this is not a place where tears are understood, Then where shall I go to cry? And if this is not a place where my spirit can take wings, Then where shall I go to fly? I don't need another place for trying to impress you With just how good and virtuous I am. I don't need another place for always being on top of things; Everybody knows that it's a sham. I don't need another place for always wearing smiles, Even when it's not the way I feel. I don't need another place to mouth the same old platitudes; Everybody knows that it's not real. So if this is not a place where my questions can be asked, Then where shall I go to seek? And if this is not a place where my heart cry can be heard, Where, tell me where, shall I go to speak? So if this is not a place where tears are understood, Where shall I go, where shall I go to fly? -- Ken Medema
And since Indiana has never followed DST in the time we've lived here until NOW - - - I wanna know - - - - WHY DO WE HAVE TO HAVE IT AT ALL!?!?
ReplyDelete;-)
Farmers have always used the Daylight Hours wisely. They never changed the time, they just got up at daybreak.
ReplyDeleteIt happens on Sunday so no one will be late to work. I guess it doesn't matter if people are late or miss church. Perhaps they just started it on the first day of the week.
Keetha, if Ohio was not going to change, I am glad Indiana did. At least we are on the same time as our daughter and family.
Question: Why does time change always happen on Sunday?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Because people are sleeping in church anyway.
Question: Why are people sleeping in church?

Because they were up too late on Saturday night?
ReplyDeleteBecause there is nothing worth staying awake for?
ReplyDeleteI saw that coming!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the disciples were sleeping while Jesus was off praying in the garden because it was daylight savings time. :)

Per haps people have tuned out the hypocrittes. Thay still go to chruch because thay hope and pray things will change.
ReplyDeleteI ended up taking an extra turn with the two year olds during the worship hour because the person whose turn it REALLY WAS forgot about the time change - - - - -
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a dairy farmer in Wisconsin (Years ago), I used to keep on going to the barn to milk the cows at the same time every morning but after a while I got tired of being out of synch with the rest of the world and I would give up and change. The cows didn't seem to care. The strange thing was, I would go through that struggle every year.
ReplyDeleteElect the cows to congress!
