Four Stages of Fatherhood

1. They call you "Da-Da."
2. They call you "Daddy."
3. They call you "Dad."
4. They call you Collect!

  1. I am not a father but have the privelage to preach the Father's day message on Sunday.

Thanks for being the first and so far, only comment on my blog. I have decided to tone it down a little though, be a bit more personal and less cynical. I am an emotional being which is a gift as well as a detriment.

It was GREAT to see you at the symposium. Your words to me meant more than you realize. Thank you.

The best stage of all is when they call you Papaw.

In a few years you will know what I mean.

    Papaw

Thoroughly enjoyed the post on justinjnierer blog. Believe me, I have asked these same tough questions. Others should also visit.

    FYI
Justin hit the nail on the head with his blog What do Wesleyans do well.

I hope he does not tone it down because these questions need asked and their does not seem to be anyone with enough brass to do so.

On the local level and now I find, that the problems and coverups go clear to the top.

A ministry Local or District can not thrive while hiding a lie and keeping the facts from those you are trying to serve.

The attiture of telling only Need to Know basis is wrong.

Total discloseure is not only Christian but is required to gain the respect and future finance support from those we have been called to save.

Every one is walking aroung with a holy smile on their face and pretending that the problems would not be there if it wasn't for the Justins pointing them out.

Justin You say that you are not a Father.. I say you have the right attitude and as a Father what would you want your Children and Grand Children to say about you.

Please do not compromise your principles to please those above you. The truth will set them free if they allow it.

You will take a lot of flack and be snubbed by those who you thought were your friends.

I would rather be working at Mc. Donalds as a Christian with my intergerty and minstry to the word intact than be a pastor of a few and not allowed to preach the truth for fear of reproach.
