Proud of Linda

Congratulations to my sister-in-law, Linda Weaver Wilson, who often leaves insightful comments here at Revitalize Your Church.

She is an Ohio State University mathematics professor, and last week, was honored with the Griffin Society Teaching Award.

The Wisconsin Wilson's are all extremely proud to say we're related!

    Linda

    Congradulations!

I enjoy your straight forward comments on this blog.

They always prevoke new and different thoughts and discussion.

Some times they get so hot and thought provoking that I think Mark puts on new blog posts just to move them off the board sooner. -SMILE-

Your Chruch must be proud of you.
I'll bet you are a wonderful Sunday School teacher.

    Linda

You and Fargo have not always seen eye to eye but do not ever change what you are because of us.
God made you just the way you are so keep up the good fight to win souls for him.
Some people see the correct thing to do right away and in others it takes a lot longer if at all.

    Because of him!

You and I may enjoy Linda's straightforward comments, but her Church did not. That is the very thing that her Church holds against her. The fact that she cannot sit back and see injustice done and keep her mouth shut has kept the few in control from accepting her. She is loved and respected by not only OSU, the community, and her family, but all who meet her. There are no strangers in this world to Linda. Any Church would be lucky to have her to teach and spice up a SS class so that it is not boring. As proud as I am of her many awards, I am proudest that she does not compromise her integrity and principles to please a few (less than 15) to win their approval. Her world for God is much bigger at OSU.

Thanks to all who offered congratulations. Although awards are great, I get my rewards each and everyday from my students.

Each time I enter a classroom I pray to be able to reach each and every student regardless of age(17 thru 70+), color, gender, nationality, culture, personality, disability, math anxiety, math level, motivation level. It is my responsibility and pleasure to be the best instuctor, leader, example I can possibly be. This is a job I am privileged to have that I would do for free. In fact, I think I would pay to be able to share my passion for mathematics with others. It is fantastic to get to play with numbers.
