Love with a Funnybone

The man and woman who can laugh at their love, who can kiss with smiles, and embrace with chuckles, will outlast in mutual affection, all the throat-lumpy, cow-eyed, couples of their acquaintance. Nothing lives on so fresh and evergreen as the love with a funnybone.
-- George Jean Nathan
Are these people jumping on a bed??? And if so, what in the world is all that "stuff" in the background?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture. That is how I want to live!
ReplyDeleteOops! I though it was Mildred and George practicing to jump off the church roof. Mark has already jumped. I will leave it up to the reader whether he went down or up.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I see this as two best friends who thoroughly enjoy being with each other. If couples cannot laugh with (not at) each other, the relationship will not last. Sam and I have learned to laugh more and more (especially in the last three years) since our wedding over 39 years ago. You should remember this event Mark. You were even carrying a Bible back then.
Great picture! Love the quote!
