What Makes a Marriage Work?

Yesterday, the Pew Research Center released a poll on marriage trends, compared to 1990.

Interesting data for premarital counseling.
When asked "What Makes a Marriage Work", a surprising result was WORK (sharing household chores.)

This same poll was featured in the Columbus Dispatch. I was not surprised that "shared household chores" moved so far up the list from the previous poll.

In today world, so many households have both spouses holding down full time jobs outside the home. Often times, one or both spouses actually work more than one job outside the home.

Wonder if there is a correlation to this and the importance of children?
