Baptism

Yesterday, around 500 people showed up for our church picnic, and we ended up baptizing 49 in a local lake.

It was a tremendous joy to hear the faith stories before each baptism. We dunked children, teenagers, young adults, middle aged folks, and senior citizens. Each one was a beautiful testimony of God's grace and faithfulness.

At the end of the day, my arms were tired, and my heart was full of joy!!

I was reading a book and got an idea. This idea was to do a sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount and living out Christianity. Obviously it isn't something you have to do, but I just thought I would share it with you because it was laid on my heart! Thanks!

A few weeks ago we had a 70+ man and his wife baptized during the morning service. The man was not in real good health and had a lot of breathing problems. He walked down the 4 steps to be baptized, got baptzied and walked up the 4 steps and died.

The pastor asked him do you love the Lord Jesus with all your heart and his last words were "Yes I Do".
