Flooding in Iowa

"We're just kind of at God's mercy right now, so hopefully people that never prayed before this, it might be a good time to start"
-- Don Zeller, Linn County (Iowa) Sheriff in response to the flooding of the Cedar River.
Adam and Allegra, my son and daughter-in-law live in Waterloo, and were a part of the sandbag brigade to save their city. Allegra's grandfather, who was staying at an area campground, escaped the floodwaters by kayak, but lost his camper and his wallet.
Please pray for the dear f0lks who live along the Cedar River.

Thinking of Adam and Allegra, Mark, as we will close the doors on our little church on the Miss. on Sat. morning. We are abt. 30miles north of Hannibal MO. Dannie removed the bolts holding the pews last eve. so that people from "sister" churches in the area can come and help us move everything out to safety on Sat. a.m. Quite sad..not knowing if we'll ever get to go back into the building. God is speaking "volumes" nationwide, don't you think??Happy Fathers Day to you..Blessings, Shirley Kirby

  2. Oh my - - - thanks for this reminder. When you aren't going THROUGH the flood waters yourself, its far too easy to forget about those who are.
