Stealing from a Terrorist

Global news outlets reported last week that Gadhahn was arrested in Pakistan, but, unfortunately, it was a case of mistaken identity.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how someone could turn on his own people like this, and devote himself to such a horrible cause in the name of religion.

Normally, I don't quote terrorists. I despise their cause and hateful methodologies. However, Gadhahn's words made me stop and think.

I decided to swipe his quote.

What would happen if Christian people applied this perspective to THEIR mission -- the greatest and most beautiful cause on earth?

What if every follower of Jesus Christ reflected this kind of commitment?

What if we all decided to live intentionally, bringing God's love with us wherever we go?
What if every church member assumed this kind of personal responsiblity?

1. Don't wait for tomorrow.
2. Do what can be done today.
3. Don't wait for others to do what you can do yourself.

As Joseph told his wayward brothers, "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good."

My Updated Ordination Succession

 I made an error when I listed my ordination succession a few weeks ago.  I was ordained by Earle Wilson and he was ordained by William Neff. I had thought that Neff was ordained by early Pilgrim leader, Seth Rees, but upon further investigation, he was actually ordained by Winfred Cox.  Thus, my ordination line takes a fortunate turn. It was a struggle reconciling Rees anyway.  I had taken a leap saying that he was ordained by the Nazarenes -- when, in fact, he was originally "recorded" (not ordained) by the Quakers, and the Nazarenes claim they never ordained him.  I find that hard to believe -- especially when, according to historian, Kostlevy, he participated in ordinations for the Metropolitan Church Association, a forerunner of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.
