sour grapes, if you ask me
ReplyDeleteI was moved by his comment about Christians being All-Inclusive in Heaven, yet we are so EXCLUSIVE here on Earth. How sad. :(
ReplyDeleteYes, we are to go out and be salt and light, but we need to keep in mind Paul's warning in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
We will undoubtedly spend our days around non-believers in the workplace, in school, and in our neighborhoods. If we will just live our lives in joy and love, they may just want what we have. A 'Christian Walk' doesn't need to happen in a bubble.

I think the key in what he said was "I have not given up, I am just trying to find my place". It sounds like he might be going through a ministry change. It might be time for him to leave the church pulpit and work in a more hands on ministry position ie soup kitchen, street chaplain. There is always a chance that when we are feeling this way we are being prompted to move on to the next things God has for us.
ReplyDeleteGreat point, Dave.
