Raised in a Vacuum

“You can't raise a child in a vacuum. All that carpet dust will clog up the kid's lungs.” -- Jacob M. Appel, American playwright, Arborophilia (2005)

Children need to be raised so they are capable of making correct decisions regardless of what they encounter in their lives.

If children are raised totally protected from the outside world, they will not be able to function when facing a situation foreign to their protective vacuum.

A child needs to be loved and respected for the unique individual God has created. Parents should not try to impose their dreams on their child.
