The Perils of "Wannabe Cool" Christianity

A fascinating article in the Wall Street Journal by Bret McCracken. He says:

If the evangelical Christian leadership thinks that "cool Christianity" is a sustainable path forward, they are severely mistaken. As a twentysomething, I can say with confidence that when it comes to church, we don't want cool as much as we want real.

    Being an old-timer I have observed many Christian leaders of many generations. Most seem to be more worried about being 'as cool as their peers' than listening to God and being the real leader God wants them to be.
