Great Easter
We had a fabulous Easter at Hayward Wesleyan Church. 1154 people attended four services. Several people opened their lives to Christ!
Now, it's all quiet. Everybody has left the building, and I'm all alone: weary but content, in the empty church.
This afternoon, the kids and I will deliver Easter lillies to shut ins, and maybe while we're gone, the Easter Bunny will show up at our house!
Question: What did the Easter bunny bring me?
Answer: 500 people I haven't seen since Christmas Eve.

This is great, Mark. Praise God!
ReplyDeleteGlad for the good turn out for Easter. 1154 sheep are a big responsibility.
ReplyDeleteThey all will need attended to!
Now the 500 people who came that do not normally attend.
These families need to be tracked long term for opportunities to reach out to them. Do you do a follow up, and a follow up to the follow up 70 times 7 ?
I am sure they all 1154 have struggles, and trials they are going through and 500 who love God and want to be loved by a Church.
How can the Church use their struggles and show them that they care?
Each time we reach out a seed is planted. If you show kindness the whole family is affected. It reaches not only the child, but parent,Grand Parents and extended family see this as a sign of your friendship.
If any one who attends the Church turns their head when they see the need. The whole family also see's this as a sign that the Church knows of the need but does not care.
Don't just say you love them
Show them that you love them.
If you tell them you love them and do not show them, they will see it as a fake Christian act and it will hurt you more.
