Pirate Marriage Counseling

Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Now, that presents a unique pastoral counseling challenge.

Marriage Counseling:

"Hello Pastor, thank you for seeing us at such short notice."
"Ahoy Mateys! Arrrr! Whazza problem?? Arrr???"
"Well, there's been a complete breakdown in communication."
"Yarrr??""
"We don't talk anymore, and he just sits there like a bump on a log, watching tv every night."
"Skuttle Me Skippers!"
"I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!"
"Thar She Blows!"
"Pastor, I'm counting on You to do SOMETHING to set him straight!!"
"Avast Lassie! Ye be talkin' nonsense!"
"WELL, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO??"
"Shiver Me Timbers!! Let's lash 'm to the mast and den make 'm walk de plank!"

    We had a parent, a mom, show up at school to pick up her kids today in FULL Pirate dress and talking pirate too - - - in HONOR of "Talk Like a Pirate Day"
