Probing Questions for Church Leadership Teams

As you see it, what is the vision of our church? Where are we going?

Are we headed in the right direction? Are we doing what we're supposed to be doing?

What is our business? How's business?

What impedes our progress?

What gets in the way of the growth of our congregation:
spiritually?
relationally?
organizationally?
numerically?
financially?
missionally?

What 3-5 things should we do to move forward with God's vision for our church?

    I speak out,
    You throw me out,
    With sadistic glee,
Praising God you are rid of me.

    1. Stop the illusion of inclusion

    2. Make finances totally accountable

    3. Base decisions on 'what' not 'who'

    4. Background checks on leaders

    5. Be strong - Be responsible - Stand against wrong doings

WHAT MY FAMILY LOOKS FOR IN CHURCH LEADERS/LEADERSHIP TEAMS

The ability to stand in front of large groups speaking about plans not does impress us.

We look at the quality of leaders when they go about their daily lives. We do not check to see if the leader clothes are pressed. We do not notice the type car he is driving or if it is washed.

Instead we watch for the interaction with his neighbors, local businesses, and especially his family. Does he care only about himself while his kids look neglected?

I agree with Steve - but one step further

    Apprenticeship
    Humility
    Justice
    Grace"
